Figure out what path Jonah took as he walked about the city!

Jonah's Journey is a puzzle of logic. It provides 15,000 puzzles in each of 12 sizes or types (the above is a small size 2 puzzle in its unsolved and solved states). The goal of each puzzle is to determine where Jonah walked, making a complete loop. He never retraces his steps, although he will sometimes cross his path at an intersection. Each cell in the puzzle represents a city block, and the number in the cell tells you how many sides of that cell (or block) Jonah walked along (from 0 to 4). An empty cell with no number in it simply means that you don't KNOW what the number should be, it could be any number from 0 to 4.

A challenging puzzle to learn, it's a lot of fun to play once you figure out the necessary deductions (things such as every intersection must have an EVEN number of paths attached to it, 0, 2, or 4, to keep the path from retracing itself or having a dead-end). There is an extensive explanation available in the Help covering all of the fundamental methods and ideas. Puzzle sizes are from 6x6 up to 16x16. There are also two TYPES of puzzles. The above is a type B, size 2 puzzle. In the type A puzzles, ALL of the numbers for ALL of the cells have been moved outside of the puzzle into half-row clue strips, with only a few numbers also left in the puzzle to get you started. You must figure out where the clue strips go into the puzzle in order to then figure out where the path must go.

Once downloaded, install these into the IMAGES folder of your JJ folder. For example, if you installed Jonah's Journey in the default location of C:\EKS\JJ, then you would install these image sets in C:\EKS\JJ. The files in this section are EXE files, so once they're downloaded, just run them like any other program and they will unZIP themselves to whatever folder you specify (a dialog will prompt you for your preferred folder). The files will actually get placed in the IMAGES sub-folder, because that sub-path is included in the ZIP file, but you shouldn't need to worry about that.
